Features of Glass Solutions from Renewal by Andersen®

Most of any window’s performance lies in the glass. Two double-pane windows may look the same yet can still be worlds apart in terms of efficiency. As the leading installer of energy-saving windows and patio doors in Marietta, GA, Renewal by Andersen® of Atlanta shares the winning features of our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass solutions. Here are the features that make them exceptional:

Glass Solution

Advanced Coatings

On the outer side of our exterior glass, it has metal oxide coatings that make its surface easier to clean. When touched by sunlight, it causes the water to slide off the glass and reduces spotting up to 99%. On the inner surface of the same glass, there is a spectrally selective multi-layer of low-E coating.

Unlike the standard low-E coating, its several layers make the glass reflect the sun’s undesirable rays and let in those that are not. These coatings are the reason why our glass packages are highly efficient. Our French doors in Atlanta and our windows can block the intense heat that makes your interior uncomfortable.

Argon Gas

For maximum insulation, we chose an inert argon gas blend for fill. Unlike Freon and carbon dioxide, it’s not sensitive to seal failure and doesn’t quickly discolor. Argon takes the thermal performance of our windows and patio doors to greater heights.

Stainless Steel Spacers

To keep argon securely in between the two panes of glass of our windows, we picked the most durable material available for our spacer systems. Stainless steel is stronger than aluminum and doesn’t deteriorate over time like plastic. Thanks to this material’s superior strength, we can make our spacers thinner to conduct less energy without compromising seal integrity.

Dual Sealing

The secret to the long-term performance of our High-Performance glass solutions is our precise sealing process. Apart from using two specialized sealants, we remove the coatings around the glass edge to provide a clean surface where they would adhere. This results in a robust seal that prevents moisture leakage for the years to come.
