Titanium Oxide Coating
We directly apply metal oxide coatings on the exterior surface of the outer pane of our sash windows. With adequate sunlight, the UV light will activate our Low-E4® glass, and begin photo-catalytic action. This chemical process loosens the dirt, allowing the water to wash any filth away more easily. These invisible coatings also make our window glass smooth, which helps the rain and condensation to sheet off the surface.
Furthermore, when the sun activates our glass, which increases the evaporation rate, our windows dry cleaner. As a result, our products reduce water spotting by 99 percent.
Fibrex®
Much like our bay, bow, sliding, picture, custom and casement windows, our double hungs are made from Fibrex material. Designed to be impervious to moisture and retain their structural integrity with extreme temperature swings, they need little maintenance throughout their lifespan.
To put things into perspective, our windows’ Fibrex-made components are guaranteed not to blister, flake, pit, peel, crack, rust or corrode for 20 years. The exterior color finish of our products is also warranted not to fade significantly. In other words, our Fibrex material and its protective finish can last a long time without looking old.
Estate™ Hardware
The locks of our double hung windows aren’t only protected against defects in manufacturing, materials or workmanship for 10 years. They can also come in Estate hardware finishes with excellent tarnish and corrosion resistance. Our brass, chrome and nickel options have a special coating that seals the desired finish, keeping them practically immune to the elements.
